Portland Community Rowing Association is made possible by the generous contributions of volunteers like you.

Here are some of the ways you can get involved!

OAR2.jpg Launch Driver - You drive the boat, we pay for the gas!

The launch boat is a 14' aluminum skiff with a 15 horse-power motor.  This boat is available to assist rowers if needed.  Having a launch driver also allows the coach to focus on rowers so that he or she may give instruction while underway.  If you are wiling to add your email address to a list of launch drivers willing to fill in when our current driver is on vacation please let us know.

OAR2.jpg  Social Media Manager - keep us connected!

Engage members and fans via the Portland Community Rowing Association facebook pageYouTube Channel, and website.  Take on all of social media or take on just one area.  Training is available.

OAR2.jpg  Coxswain - tell others what to do, sit back and enjoy the ride!

The cosxswain provides instructions to the rowers and steers the boat.  See the beautiful sights as your rowers bring you through Casco Bay.  Training is provided.

OAR2.jpg  Grant Writer - connect with grants that are looking to give!

The sky is the limit on this one.  Apply your skills and have a profound impact on the development of this organization.

OAR2.jpg  Sponsorship Development - partner with community!

We are located within a very supportive community and businesses want to help us in return for us helping them.  Collaborate with local businesses to make this happen.

OAR2.jpg  Print Media Manager - make us visable!

Only a small population of our community knows that Portland Community Rowing Association exists and of the opportunity that awaits to get out on the water.  Rack cards, flyers, banners, press releases and your own creative ideas for spreading the word.

OAR2.jpg  Web Page Administrator - help in getting the word out!

Want to learn how to maintain a website on your own?  Here is your opportunity.   Training is provided.

OAR2.jpg  Support - like an extra set of oars when you need them!

If you are interested in volunteering your time and talents in your own way, which may not be listed here on this page, please let us know and we will be grateful for your contribution.
